Reviews
Loooved Little Bat!
First, the cocktails are delicious. Mezcal negroni and Mezcal margarita were huge winners š
Second, the service is stellar. Nazareth was hilarious and attentive! We also had a wonderful female server (I didnāt grab her nameš©) who took great care of the table. Bonus points - she too was very funny!
All in all, a great night here.
Thanks team!
Was a really cool and vibey atmosphere at the front and we were sat towards the back where its less vibey and more chilled as it was packed (friday night).
We asked for recommendations for a sweet cocktail and we ordered:
1. Matching Souls - didnt enjoy this at all, it was ridiculously super strong and all you could taste was alcohol. My misses had a sniff of it and was like Im not even trying thatā¦. It was one recommended by the waitress if I wanted a āsmartā twist (1/10)
2. East 8 Hold Up - my misses asked for it without the aperol and enjoyed this. Said it was fairly nice (6.5/10)
3. A glass of sauvingon blanc - tasted like it was a bit off and we drink enough to know but was still decent (5/10)
It was also a dark mood setting, was lighter outside than inside.
Overall, a great place, good atmosphere, staff are friendly, BUT for a cocktail bar, I expected alot better - the main downer point. Would recommend for the vibe and ask to sit at the front if possible.
We went there Friday night for drinks and Saturday noon for brunch. This place is absolutely amazing, day and night. Brunch is exceptional. We had the chickpea and potato dish, the avocado sourdough and the brioche with butterscotch banana and mascarpone. Everything was delicious and the eggs poached in a perfect way. To top all that the DIY bloody Mary offer is genius. We had a great time and definitely going back for more. Easily one of the best places in London at the moment.
It's not open Monday night. In case you also take a cab down to have a drink. Good idea is to always call!
Edit to add: I've been a half a dozen times. Update your Google as well, the website on mobile is difficult to navigate. Best.
Edit 2 to add: This business has updated their hours on Google! I'd suggest hiring a new website designer, however I know that is quite expensive so hopefully they can in the future. To business owner: the last few times I went the cocktails were good, service was ok. I appreciate your smart reply to my issue - which was rectified this week. I'll bump it up to 3 stars to reflect the good drinks.
They hosted our wedding for 100+ guests. The food, drink, service, atmosphere, music were all fantastic. Thank you to Liese and the team for making our day so memorable.
Went to a wedding reception here recently. The staff were brilliant, couldn't have been nicer or more proactive. Dealt with very drunk people very kindly. The food and drinks were lovely.
My cousin and I LOVED the cocktails and the music! The music surprised me. Iām a Brooklyn girl and this spot reminded me of those low-key, sexy cocktail bars you find all over BK with good 90s to 2000s music. They played Nas, HOV, Ms. Hill, Tribe. It was a really good vibe. The popcorn they serve is also quite tasty.
Cocktails are great - but don't they usually all taste pretty much the same? Not here. These cocktails are so unique and totally delicious! The interiors are moody and dimly lit, like a cosy living room but with a trendy buzz. It's classy and romantic and the cocktails are amazing. The menu has changed a lot since I went last, I used to like the Pan Am, The Bartenders Breakfast, 18th century, and Alex's Espresso Martini with dark chocolate. Whilst there is a little less flare than when I've been in previous years, the service is just as good and it's still popular - enough that it perhaps can't be considered a hidden gem anymore.
If you're in town, I definitely recommend this place, as it's popular with locals and open till 1am. It's advisable to reserve a table, but not essential!
